City Park
Is history work savings?

City Park, at the corner of West 10th and "A" Street, is Antioch's oldest park.  This wonderful 5 acre park if full of tall mature trees, a rose garden, and stone benches.  A historic stone wall, built at a Works Progress Administration (WPA) project in the 1930's, encircles the park.

In September 2005, the City Council voted to renovate and revitalize City Park. Using grant money and an inspiring idea from the Parks and Recreation Commission, this park will be transformed into a place of which our community can once again be proud.

The renovated park will include a park lot within the stone walls, a lighted adult soccer field, a concession stand and new bathrooms.  The highlight will be a playground designed by the children and built in five days by the people of our community.
